Weili Dai is gaining recognition for her ability to succeed in a fully male-dominated industry. Dai, a Chinese-born American, is considered one of the most successful women entrepreneurs and is one of the only female co-founders of a major semiconductor company!

As the founder of a popular women’s clothing and accessory company, Tory Burch is a philanthropist who has won several awards for her designs and her business model. In 2009, she started the Tory Burch Foundation, which supports the economic empowerment of women in the U.S. through small business loans, mentoring, and entrepreneurial education. 

Angela Merkel

Angela Merkel is a former research scientist turned German politician. While she may not be your typical entrepreneur, Merkel is considered one of the world’s most powerful woman. Indra Nooyi

Nooyi is an Indian American business executive who has served on the board of some of the largest eCommerce businesses. Indra currently works for PepsiCo as the CEO. After joining the company in 1994, she became CFO in 2001 and in 2006 was promoted to Cheif Executive Office. Nooyi is arguably one of the most famous female entrepreneurs in the world.
